The Kihon Gi consists of a jacket made from 400 GSM High-Tech Pearl Weave and reinforced panels at all main stress points. The Gi is very lightweight thanks to the collar, which is made from heat-resistant vulcanised rubber. Additionally, this helps prevent bacteria.
Kihon is a Japanese term meaning “fundamental principles.” It refers to the basic techniques taught and practised in most Japanese martial arts.
The Kihon Gi is very durable and comfortable. The trousers are made from 100% 10 oz cotton. The inner seams are reinforced with a soft cotton tape.
This gi will be your everyday training companion, regardless of your level of experience. Kihon also helps develop the correct mindset and attitude you will need to succeed. When you start karate, this is what you will learn, but Kihon training never stops!
